''Rob Powell presented Dr. Jerry Major, Waco ISD Superintendent, with a Guinness World Record Certificate he earned this past October.

Coach Powell completed the 11 Feats of Strength, in 22:11:40, shattering the old mark by adding 25% to the previous 24 hour record, making him the Guinness World Record holder, and The World Fitness Champion.

Powell recognized his co-workers, Dr. George Luck, Principal, Rob Flemming, Teacher, Kermit Ward, Teacher (former Baylor Track Star, and Michael Johnson, 4x400 Meter Relay Teammate) and Authurene Gainer, Teacher (1976 Silver Medallist, 4x400 Meter Relay).''
